Screening Room Build Activity

~7 MIN HEADPHONES RECOMMENDED BINAURAL BEATS EMBEDDED
Before You Begin

Complete the Induction Relaxation Activity first, and begin this one from within that same deeply relaxed, no-mind state. Here you construct the private screening room that becomes the platform for every rehearsal to come.

Picture yourself standing in a clearing. Perhaps it is at the top of a mountain. Maybe in a field of lilacs. Or maybe on a beautiful beach. So long as it is a place that is appealing to you.

Imagine as vividly as possible the process of constructing a shelter for your screening room.

This is your place, so it could be a house, a cabin, a castle, a huge modern skyscraper, or perhaps your screening room exists in nature and is simply surrounded by tall and dense trees.

Do so however you like — build it from scratch, assemble it with items you've ordered, or simply call it into being with a wave of your head, a nod of your head, or a snap of your fingers.

Now choose your screening room seating. Perhaps it is a cozy couch, a comfy recliner, a director's chair, or a place to lie down in the cool grass.

Next, construct your viewing screen of choice. It may be a large high-definition television or a gigantic movie screen — whatever feels right for your viewing pleasure. Place it in front of you at a proper viewing distance.

Also place the speakers for the sound you want — position them for surround sound, heavy bass, sharp high treble, whatever mix pleases you.

Now make sure the room is enclosed so that external noise and activity cannot disturb you or interfere with your activity.

Add a door that only you can open. Make it thick and heavy and secure it with a locking mechanism. This could be an ornate wooden castle door encased in iron bars with a sturdy keyed lock, or something more modern made of steel and secured with a biometric mechanism like a fingerprint scanner.

Even if your screening room is in nature, surround it with something impenetrable and provide a way in and out for only yourself.

Now step through the door, from inside your newly constructed screening room to a lobby just on the other side of the entrance.

Right beside the door or entrance, place a small impervious vault or strongbox. Let your imagination free. Perhaps it is an old treasure chest encircled with chains and padlocks, or a thick titanium enclosure with hydraulics and a digital cryptographic keypad — whatever appeals to you and feels most secure.

Finally, create a clear path from your everyday life into this lobby — this could be a winding stairwell, a verdant forest trail, or something whimsical like a yellow brick road. Anything detailed that feels natural to you.

Walk down this path and away from the door into the usual events that comprise your day. Now turn around, looking down the path at the box and the door into your screening room.

Create Your Cue

Let's take a moment to create two cues here so that we can return to the screening room rapidly in the future. Try the word "screen", or maybe "observe," or perhaps "witness." Whatever suits you. At the same time, flex your neck, tilting your head back as though looking up just slightly.

Do not crane or stress your neck. Just flex enough to move your head back and chin up perhaps an inch — maybe two. No need to strain. Do it again. Deep breath. Say "screen" and look up.

Good.

It is now time to reenter your normal waking awareness.
